Product Overview
The M10 / N10 Series is a family of compact 360° 2D Time-of-Flight LiDAR sensors designed for mobile robots, autonomous systems and robotics research. The series provides real-time distance and angle data for mapping, localization, navigation and obstacle detection, with selected models also outputting reflected-light intensity information.
With measurement radii up to 30 m, scan rates up to 12 Hz and sampling rates up to 20,000 measurements/s, the series can be used for ROS-based SLAM, AMR and UGV navigation, industrial automation, security robotics and other autonomous-system applications.
Multiple hardware options are available for different integration requirements. Compact N10-series models are suitable for space-constrained robots, while M10-series models provide higher sampling rates, stronger ambient-light resistance and IP65 protection. The M10P-PHY industrial version provides direct Ethernet communication and a wide 9–32 V DC input for industrial integration.
Key Features
360° 2D Laser Scanning
All models provide full 360° horizontal scanning for environmental perception, obstacle detection, 2D mapping and robot localization.
TOF Ranging Technology
The series uses Time-of-Flight ranging. A laser pulse is emitted toward a target and the return time of the reflected light is measured to calculate distance. TOF architecture provides stable ranging performance and is well suited to mobile-robot navigation and mapping.
ROS 1 & ROS 2 Support
The LiDAR series supports ROS-based robotics development and can be integrated into Linux robotics systems for mapping, navigation and obstacle avoidance. Development resources are available for ROS 1 and ROS 2 workflows.
Windows & Linux Development
Windows visualization software is available for point-cloud viewing and sensor debugging. Linux environments can be used for ROS-based SLAM and navigation. Python example code is also available for data acquisition and development.
USB, Serial & Ethernet Integration
Standard models can be connected through serial communication and USB adapters. Ethernet-enabled models provide direct network communication for applications requiring longer transmission distance, higher integration reliability or connection to embedded computers such as NVIDIA Jetson and Raspberry Pi.
Outdoor-Capable Sensing
Selected models provide strong ambient-light resistance for outdoor operation. M10-series models support up to 100 klux, N10P up to 60 klux, and N10 up to 30 klux.
Glass Recognition & Intensity Output
The N10 series can output reflected-light intensity data, which can provide additional information for identifying highly transparent or reflective surfaces such as glass in robotics applications.
Dual-Echo Scanning
The N10P supports dual-echo scanning, providing an additional set of return data in supported scenarios for more complete environmental perception.
Angle Masking
ROS SDK configuration supports angular masking, allowing selected sectors of the scan to be excluded when robot structures, fixed equipment or other known objects would otherwise interfere with LiDAR data.
Dual-LiDAR Fusion
Two LiDAR units can be used together to reduce blind areas caused by fixed obstacles or robot geometry and to provide more complete surrounding perception.
Industrial Design
M10-series models use a sealed housing and are rated to IP65. The rotating mechanism uses a built-in brushless motor designed to reduce mechanical wear and provide long service life.
FDA Class 1 Laser Safety
The LiDAR uses a low-power infrared laser source and pulse-controlled emission designed to meet FDA Class 1 laser safety requirements.
